The Associated Organ of Vietnamese Students’ Association, Department of Economics, participated in the activity “về nguồn” to celebrate the 72th anniversary of establishment of the Vietnam People’s Army December 22nd (December 22nd 1944 – December 22nd 2016)
To enhance awareness, foster ideals and educate glorious tradition of the Vietnam People’s Army as well as to be in memory of the martyr heroes for the cause of national liberation and reunification, on December 18th 2016, the Associated Organ of Vietnamese Students’ Association, Department of Economics, participated in the activity “về nguồn”.
Participating in this event, there are presences of Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Huyen - Deputy Secretary of The Associated Organ of Vietnamese Students’ Association, Department of Economics, Mrs. Tran Thi Thuy Nga – Student Management and 49 students.
Firstly, the delegation visited the historical monument Truong Bon (Do Luong, Nghe An) that is historical icon of Vietnam voluntary youth. Truong Bon is a place which gathers of 1240 soldiers. In particular, a grave of 13 voluntary soldiers bravely sacrificed at this place on October 31st, 1968. Truong Bon today, tomorrow and forever becomes national lullaby for voluntary soldiers’ soul.
To be continued, the Vietnam – Laos Friendship Cemetery (Anh Son, Nghe An) is the next destination. The Vietnam – Laos Friendship Cemetery is icon of faithful solidarity of two countries Vietnam – Laos. The Vietnamese voluntary soldiers not only fought for their country but also sacrificed for lofty international duty, for the friendship between Vietnam and neighbor countries.
This is meaningful activity that express morality of nation “Drinking water, remember its source”. As a result, this activity is an opportunity to educate students about the great sacrifice of the heroes as well as it leaves many feelings for all members of delegation.
